Last week i had a horrible tooth ache and ended up having a root canal done Tuesday the only thing that help me was I put Anbesol exrta strength on the tooth and around the gum, took two Tylenol and two ibuprofen every 4hours and put a ice pack on my jaw. The ice pack actually numbed it good enough that it didn't hurt. Not any old ice pack get the freezy blocks that you put in a cooler they are alot colder.

Extra strength Orajel works better than Anbesol and use it with at least 800 mg Ibuprofen (take 4 200mg pills every 6 hours with food) It should help you out. I feel for you as there is nothing like a toothache--horrible !

Try using a half water, half peroxide mixture and swish that around in your mouth. It will help with infection and clean out your mouth. I have heard that clove oil will get rid of pain too. When I wasn't pregnant, I would take 3 advil...that would help with inflammation and pain.

Oil of cloves-tastes awful but a tiny bit on a tiny piece of tissue wedged in the tooth-two spit's later-pain gone !!! Don't over do it though because it will harm your gum's too often but I promise you it really, really work's,!!! ktf.x

Anbesol. I use it right now for a tooth that is KILLING me okay it isn't killing me but it hurts. There's oragel too, but maximum strength Anbesol is the best. BE sure to get ADULT not baby/children's cause it won't hardly help. After using it a few times the weird/kinda bad taste isn't so bad/weird anymore either.

Try chewing on cloves. They contain clove oil, which is sometimes used by dentists to dull the pain.
Really, even if you don't believe me, try it. What do you have to lose?

at the first it must me extracted as soon as possible and if ur appointment is far away try using a combination of these two
1) antibiotics as penicillin or amoxycilline
2) analgisics as voltaren to sedate the pain ibuprofen is to weak to kill the pain
at the first consulte your dentist and be sure that your are not allergic to these drugs and let him write a prescription for you

Using some cream (herbal or anything really) using the thumb of the opposite hand, gently to firmly rub in curcular movements at the base of your index and 2nd finger.
It's reflexology and it works.

HI,,, what i would do, is call or go see the dentist,, they can give you some pain meds.. and some antibiotics to take... thats why it hurts... the nerve is exposed to the decay... and it swells.. and so forth..
go on and see the dentist.... dont wait.......NOW.......
if you cant get in,, go to an emergency room... or medical office that is open,, and explain..
I have been there,,, so good luck........
