I was dating someone and committed to them 6 years ago. We has a very ugly split up. We lived our seperate lives for 6 years. That person just came back into my life, and we decided to give it a go again. It is extremely hard for us to get on the same page and is pulling a very heavy weight on our relationship. The only reason why we both keep holding on and trying to work on it is because we are still in love with each other ...after all this time. Should we call it quits? or...just keep fighting for our relationship?

Sometimes fighting for the sake of the relationship can be worth it, but in all honesty, if it takes that much effort, sometimes it can be so emotionally draining, that it's just simply not worth it. Only the two of you can weigh the benefits over the drawbacks that you're both experiencing! I encourage you to communicate with each other, as often times this can be a big factor in why things aren't clicking as they should be. Good luck to both of you!
