A young girl of 6 years is afraid that the monsters under her bed will grab her when she goes to sleep.

She gets a running start to her bed, switches the light off and simutaniously leaps onto her bed, before the light goes out, so the monster can't grab her.

Question is, can she jump into bed before it gets dark?

Certainly during the summer months, it is likely that a 6 year old is going to bed before it gets dark outside (as the sun sets about 9 o'clock in the summer in the northern hemisphere). If her room has windows, she will jump into bed before it gets dark. And even if she doesn't have windows in her room, it will still not be dark yet outside (even though it would be dark in her room).

I'll go with it is still light outside therefore the room is not dark, even with the light in the room off.

Why does it matter? Just because she's in bed, she hasn't necessarily gone to sleep.

Besides, everyone knows monsters come from the closet, not under your bed.
