There is a thought that the high sugar content of the jelly acts as a spermicide and the viscosity will slow down the motility of the sperm, but it's not 100% effective and could create a terrible infection down there.

Not regular jelly. That can cause an infection. There are contraceptive gels that come in an applicator like the creams for yeast infections. I used to use these and never got pregnant while using them, and I am HIGHLY fertile.

Well, you can use SPERMICIDAL jelly as a form of contraceptive.
But, like strawberry jelly? I think you risk getting a vaginal infection when you start putting food stuff down "there". And it absolutely will not protect you from pregnancy.
