I'm self-employed and to be honest, it's not a problem amongst employees but with some male clients. ~_~ Ridiculous, yes. True, unfortunately.

I'd say it's a problem for the self-employed if they have a split personality. Then it just gets complicated...

You Smell Nice

A guy comes up to a woman at the office and he tells her that her hair smells nice.

The woman immediately goes to her supervisor to file a sexual harassment suit.

The supervisor says, "What’s wrong with someone telling you that your hair smells nice"?

The woman replies, "he’s a midget".

Yes. It is a very serious problem because there is usually no one you can lodge a complaint with. If your client harasses you, you only have two options: putting up with it or losing that client.

Yes, if the self-employer is also an employer and one of his/her employees harrases him/her about his/her sex (male/female)... or if some drunk stranger walks into the self-employed's workplace and sticks up his/her middle finger...

Only if you work at home and are married. (ie. Spouse wants to "get some" at odd hours of the day)
