Do Garlic Cloves Go Bad

I don't know if it turns bad, but what I do know is that it will definitely lose some flavor and kind of swirvel up on the end..not attractive looking. It does turn to a yellow-ish color too..

I buy my garlic already peeled and chopped and it's mixed in with oil..that way I know it stays well.

Refrigerate it in a air tight container..I buy the already crushed garlic or even the peeled garlic in the jar that way I can get a couple of cloves or a spoonful of the prepared crushed garlic in oil as I need it...makes it so easy..you can usually find it in the fresh vegetable section.

Yep, garlic does go off once it's peeled. It looses it's essential oil and healing properties. It also tastes different, so don't peel the thing till you're ready to use it.

It will go bad and turn yellow then brown. I wouldn't recommend using it once it starts to turn colors only because then the flavor is compromised.
