The bible says we should only be with the opposite sex for exact reasons he lays out for us in bible. But if a person gets a sex change operation how do they explain thier walk with the Lord at that point. Saying they believe in God really pushes that point I think. God says we are made in his image and we are like him and he did make the rules. So if we go against what he has laid out for us how can it be right? This question isn't about your right to choose it's simply about the question asked.

If one is of The Christian Faith...Truly of The Faith... there will be no question about any "sex change" it would not happen... But for one who was not of The Faith prior to having "the change"... but then comes to The Faith after "the change"...well... The call from God may be answered at any time by any one... and Salvation is free to all who come to God in The Way He proscribes...part of that is being repentant... Whether or not that one who had been change could then be married in the eyes of God to one of the same sex as he, or she, was prior...

It would be dicy to make that call... but I do not think it would be biblical for one who has a sex change to marry(either sex to either sex)... certainly not in the church...

I think you are making an assumption that God has a hand in everything for everyone all the time. I don't get that from reading the Bible. According to what we know (through science, anyhow) , random mutation is a fact of nature. I personally do not believe that God deliberately causes birth defects in children....or that God causes cancer in some people, but not others. Most recipients of sex change operations are people that have deep hormonal imbalances for whom such an operation makes sense.

The bible is not absolute, and literal interpretations (at least in my opinion) would lead to so many contradictions that you'd go nuts trying to figure it all out. In the end....how does anyone know that the sex change was not part of the plan that God intended for that person to begin with.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Well I think that if a person change of sex is something that's not good into the eyes of GOD. and if the person said "I belive in GOD" he needs to know that alot of people believe in GOd but they don't obey Him, why? because everybody wans to do what they want, and they don't ask GOD what is right. Many people said, I'm Christian, Am Catholic, etc. but a real Christian or Catholic is a person who do the will of GOD and the one who has a relationship with HIM as a Father, Friend. Not because they said am from a certain religion means that they know GOD, to know GOd you have to go to the guide : THE BIBLE.

Any sin leads to a state of confusion.

Any sin can be confessed and forgiven.

This sin is very high consequence because of the difficulty involved in getting back on the path God intended.

Jesus, in talking about eating with unclean hands said that it's not that which goes into a man that defiles him, but what comes forth from his mouth that defiles a man.

It's often difficult to remember that this flesh has an appointment with death. It's the attitude of your spirit before God that matters and that is what will determine your status in the Book of Life, not what dangles, or doesn't between your legs.

God is a very merciful being. It has the power to make us "sin-less". BUT, he didn't use that power. He gave us "freedom" to choose. There will be a judgment before him after leaving this world. I do not think there is any wrong in Sex change. If a man becomes a woman, he/she can't bear children. Only the appearance has changed. If a she-male decided to marry a guy. I will let god do the judging.

Lets see, long long ago before we all wanted to know everything about everything and make all the decisions about what is right and what is wrong .... we left questions like these in the hands of the medical profession.

There were babies born who were boys without a " part" or girls with an extra "part." These problems were taken care of medically between the parents and the baby.

These were rare situations.

God knows. God judges. It is not our job to judge in situations like this. The medical profession has to make some of these decisions and they are accountable to God too.

they don't have a walk with the Lord. so what if they believe in God that doesn't mean they're doing the right thing. it isn't right.

he is a forgiving God but to go against his word and follow the Devil into his trap doesn't seem rightcheous to me. if you anger him he has the right to punish you. why have a sex change. if the person loves God they will choose the right choice.

Beyond the question of sin, I sometimes wonder if transexuals aren't doing themselves deep psychological harm by rejecting something so fundamental to their identity as their own gender. It's a terribly big lie to tell your self, and the social stigma can't be healthy either. Living in Hollywood, it's hard to walk down the street without interacting with at least a dozen transexuals on Santa Monica Blvd, and I have yet to meet a happy one, much less well-adjusted.

If we are all made in God's image why do Jews, Muslims and Xtians insist on calling God father? Shouldn't the devine images of God reflect the over half of "his" creation that is female? why do they continue to deny the devine feminine? Wait deny is the wrong word, attack and suppress is more appropriate.

Of course your question is about the right to choose. Implied in it is the belief that God made you the way you are so you have no right to change it. Of course if "he" made someone then 'he" made them a transexual with not only the right to change but the need to change.

He didn't say this, the Romans probably wrote it. People wrote your bible not God .If you are born of both genders he created you then and why would he do something so bizarre so if you had a sex change it has nothing to do with being a good person of either gender. If your good you will go on to the next baby born when you die.
