I mean, they could be clowning you for your hairstyle or your smell or whatever. Do you make fun of them when they are purchasing formula and bottles to feed their babies? Are they "lesser" than you and your spawn in your eyes?

Gee you're being rude. I'm glad you served in the war, I really appreciate it. Perhaps you're suffering some kind of post traumatic stress disorder. I guess if being rude to people is therapeutic for you then by all means. If you're being serious I really feel bad for the negative role model you are being for your children.
The fact is that breastfeeding is much better for the baby than bottle feeding. Also it seems that breastfeeding mothers receive far more criticism with their decisions than do bottle feeders. Have you ever heard of someone feeding their baby a bottle in public being asked to leave or go to the restroom? NO, but it happens to breastfeeders every day. People like you are part of the problem.

Wow, what an attitude! Why would we make fun of you for feeding your babies stuff that has been proven to have cancer causing chemicals in it? Rather, we feel sorry for the poor baby whose health you are affecting. If anyone was making fun of you, than they are probably ignorant too. Ignore them and let them get on with their loser lives. I don't think formula feeding parents are lesser, I just think they are not as educated as breastfeeders. Oh well, you can always make yourself feel better by thinking how saggy our boobs are going to be when we get older. I probably could have answered this question in a nicer manner. Do you see how negative attitudes can be spread?

No, that is the parents preference. I breastfed for the first 6 or 7 months with both my children and then supplemented them with Formula when they were still hungry. I just get irritated with a mother when they don't even wanna try and give their baby the best nutrition. I can understand if they cannot say like if the nipple was inverted or something, but if you don't at least try then I think they are wimps!

I dont' really care how others choose to feed their babies. Sure I am breastfeeding, but that is just one of the ways to do it. I figure as long as their child is being fed and taken care of more power to them, whatever works better for them.
Breastfeeding is kinda hard, and some people have a horrible time with it, and I can totally understand anyone not doing it!

It is a personal choice for the mom and everyone needs to just let everyone else make their own decision about this. Even the supreme court ruled that this is a personal matter and even they weren't going to get involved with it. No one thinks that they are better than anyone else because they breastfeed or bottle feed. As long as the baby gets fed it shouldn't matter.

Thats being immature if you ask me. There's nothing wrong feeding babies formula, because it has the same nutrients as breast milk. I tried to breast feed my son for 3 months but I couldn't make alot of milk. The most that my breast could make was like 3 ounces and thats really small amount for hungry infants, who mostly drink about 4 to 6 ounces. So I had no choice to feed him formula. I had a friend who's milk was not good for the baby so she had to use formula. Theres nothing wrong using formula.

I plan to breastfeed (no children yet but my son will be here in a month or so). I dont look down on anyone who chooses to formula feed. Some people aren't comfortable breastfeeding, and others aren't able. I don't know everyone's circumstance but thats a personal decision and as long as you are caring for and nurturing your child I don't care how you go about doing so.

Spawn? LOL
Of course we're not making fun of parents for how they feed their babies. I no more laugh at a parent buying formula than I do at a Mother breastfeeding her baby.

Never. I do feel a little sorry for the small babies I see being given a bottle, but I would never make fun of anyone for anything. Most parents are doing the best they can.

That is a funny question. But nooooooooooooo never! I did both. With one daughter I got a breast abcess and had to stop bf......made me sooooooooo sad! Had the icky surgery that goes along with a breast abcess. My second daughter I BF until my milk ran dry ....I think it was due to some stress concerning my mothers health. I just couldnt produce enough to feed her with just the boob. But my left boob still produces......and its been over a year. Although Im sure there are some hardcore granola mommies who feel the need to belittle those who choose formula. I have a friend who says with her next child she wont even try to breast feed..........because it was difficult with her first. I don't understand it.........it's different with EVERY baby.........but I certainly don't belittle her (to her face or behind her back) for not choosing to breast feed. I have faith that as mommies.........99.99 % of us are just trying to do the best by our children!!! I give applause and praise for that alone! I say trust your instinct........it's never wrong! Blessings to you!
