why do men shop faster then women?

why do women take long doing everything is it b/c women want everything perfect when there no such thing as perfection is just an illusion

only d j hit the nail on the head. Before men go shopping we know what we're looking for....... get it and leave. Or sometimes men go shopping to look at women, and that's when we'll walk around awhile.

Ok, I've been told that most men do "surgical strike" shopping. They know what they want; go into the store; get it; buy it; leave; end of story.

Women, at least many of us, actually enjoy what we call "the shopping experience." We aren't necessarily looking for the "perfect thing," we're enjoying the LQQKING and the thinking about things before making a decision! It's the LQQKING, got it? It's picking things up, holding it up, visualizing it on you (if it's a blouse or slacks or any type of clothing or accessories). We have to do a mental inventory of our wardrobe to see if this particular thing will go with what we have. Or if it's linens or furniture we have to make sure everything "blends" and is aesthetically appealing. Most of us can't just buy for "function" and have it be ugly. Men don't care if a toaster goes with the kitchen decor. If it toasts bread, they'll buy it. Women on the other hand are conscious of the color of the kitchen and the rest of the appliances.

Then if we're not really certain we put things "on hold" while we go to other stores to see what they have because we enjoy LQQKING! Then we get hungry and have to have lunch or a snack to gain strength to go back and shop some more. My daughter and I once did a marathon shopping day where we entered a mall when they opened at 10am and didn't emerge until 4pm. We used Macy's shoe department as our home base since we were there for their shoe sale. We'd each leave, go to other stores in the mall, LQQKING, sometimes buying, then come back and meet up at Macy's. What a great day that was !

GOOD QUESTION!! Men shop faster than women because for the most part, they know what they want when they go to shop. If I want a black belt and a white shirt, that's what I'm gooing 2 get!! Not a lot of room to deviate!! Women R 2 meticulous and wind up not really wanting what they get most of the time. Go figure!

Men like a well dressed woman - and there are so many clothing options out there. A guy just needs to throw on some pants and a nice shirt and he's done. A girl needs a million outfits and they all have to be perfect!

I dont know, my ex boyfriend had a good eye, we would walk int o the guess store, I would start looking through clothes trying to find something and he would walk right in and go directly to specific areas and pick out the hottest looking clothes, I would have one outfit in my hand and it would look cute but he would have ten in his hands and most of the time hte ones he picked were cuter, I hate that,it is so not fair

Men don't really like shopping so they just want to get out of the mall as quick as possible, and women love the mall so they just want to stay there forever..

Because shopping sucks to men just like women don't like watching sports. Sure there are some women who like sports and some men who like shopping but generally speaking thats just how it goes.

Women like to take their time to shop around for the best deal...and the best quality...guys on the other hand just say hey I like this and just grab it and their gone...its not that we want to be perfect its just that women always want the best..we dont settle for less...

I think women are more detail-oriented. It has been proven that men and women use different parts of their brains to make the same decision. For example, when I dress my baby, he looks great, but when my partner does, the baby's clothes are mismatched. Stange huh?
