Yes, I definetely think so. Often times when you are looking for the "one" you may have this exact detailed idea of who you want her to be, and therefore may miss out on great opportunities to find people who are different from what you thought you were looking for, but may be exactly what you wanted. Be open to people and willing to take risks, often times you can be pleasantly suprised!

What's up with this concept ("the one")????
Thinking like that only limits the possibilities of meeting potential freinds and lovers.
Besides, everyone that you encounter in your life teaches you more about yourself, such as what you want/require from someone and also what you are not willing to accept from someone.
You don't know yourself very well until you have had experience being involved with at least a few different people, so if you limit yourself to seeking "the one", you are chasing an impossible ideal.
There are many "ones" out there that could suit you very well, maybe 10,000 "ones"..........
If you're searching for "the one" you will never find them. You may think you have, but you will have ignored red flags, and expected someone to be other than who they really are.
Keep an open mind.
