I go to a great church, but I notice the girls wearing skirts and shirts that don't leave much to the imagination. I mean, you can't dress in a respectable manner for a couple hours one day a week???

Give me a break all you "judge not" people. Everybody judges someone else everyday. Don't act like you don't. And yes, in some ways it DOES matter what you wear. It's about respect.

Who cares what they wear. If they were to wear jeans to church you would have something to say about that too. You are judging others by their appearance in the church...what a double standard. Whatever happened to come as you are? There was a drunk truck driver stopped and came into a local church that I sometimes attend. He was welcomed with open arms. It is the fashion of today not that the girls are dressing like sluts. That is your opinion and possibly a hint of jealousy!

It is probably the way they were raised. The parental supervision is not there. Probably the parents don't go to church and don't know what is respectable. Could be the parents are still in bed when the kids leave for church and don't see or care what is being worn.
This does not happen in my church. The pastor of your church should address this matter. If he doesn't he is not preaching the Word.

Because their parents make them go, and they don't want to. And they are not being taught how to dress properly; they may think a dress is a dress; (or skirt), so it qualifies no matter what it looks like. Maybe an idea would be for their youth leaders to teach that respect, and lack of respect, can be shown to others, and their selves, by the way in which we dress?

I'm not sure what kind of church you're going to.
But if the girls there are dressing like that in a respectful place, they probably don't have respect like they should. I would wonder why they're even going, but then it's not up to me to judge.
About how old are they? Maybe they're being dragged along by their parents.
I really don't like to see that (dressing provocatively) in a place of worship. But it's all about that person's spiritual maturity.
Try to worry about you, as distracting as it may be, because people are gonna dress how they want to dress... unfortunately (esp. in a place like that).

All things considered I really do not believe they dress for you.
They may not seem appropriate, however the are there for the same reason you are.
I have seen some really outrageous dress in church but with the passing of time they get more respect for themselves and the church.
Time is what it takes.

I think a lot of men and women dress too casually. It's good to show up, and some people may not have money for good clothes, but at least trying to dress a little nicer than you would for, say, a day at the beach would show respect.

It is a sign of end of days. It is a fact that Christian women should wear a scarf and loose fitting clothing covering there arms and up to their ankles as this is what Women wore after the Bible was revealed so it must be referenced in the Bible somehwere. This is well documented in history. The reason why women shouldn't do this is so that men don't look at them lustfully and to respect themselves and most of all Allah! (God).

The reason why girls dress like sluts in church is because they dont want to be in church, they figure that if they dress like that continuously there parents just wont allow them to go to church.

I hate girls who make the rest of us look bad by dressing like sluts all the time. Grow up all you little hoochie-mama's or men will never respect you, and with good reason apparently.

because they feel it's more challeging in there, breaking the basic rules just to get the double attention they want. Narcisst are sick in mind!!!Exhibitionism is also sick in mind. That's what psychologist and psychiatrist says.Just a hairline nearing schizophrenia. I know some girls or women who are worst than sluts. They have illicit relationships with the priest, pastor, or sakristan.
