Thinking of taking up rowing, wheres the best place to go in the West Midlands area?

Has anybody recently taken it up? How did you find it, and any tips? Thanks

im an east coast rower and there are plenty of rivers around but ive heard of a lot of lake rowing in the midwest i highly recommend rowing GO FOR IT! or should i say "row for it" hahaha corny i know
