I was on vacation and I had met a girl that was a receptionist at the hotel. I had seen her every day and have talked on occasion .Some flirting and some bussiness . We both had exchanged emails and it progresed to talking online quite often. Now for close to nine months. I am starting to have very strong feeling for this girl and she also says the same. She is very mature for her age. PLEASE I know what some will think.. It 's NOT a sexual thing

Just look at how well the 50+ year difference worked for Anna Nichole Smith! Of course it can work. Good luck to you both!

If it's not a sexual thing,it will be.I mean, you're talking about a relationship and not just friendship.Sex is in there, somewhere. To answer your question,it probably would work for a while. There are the one in a million ones that are true love and last until one dies, sure. But I think, realisticly, with an age difference that big, there might be a few good years before things start to go downhill.I'm basing it on what I've gathered from my own experiences and those of people I know.I would say it's worth taking a chance on.Nothing lasts forever, and even if she were your age there would be no guarantees.Just enjoy what you have while you have it,don't pressure or feel pressured, and all will be fine for a while, which is more than some people have.

What are your ages?
Imagine when you were 30 she was an infant. Have fun! If I dated a man 30 years younger than me he would be 3 years old.

If you are 70 and she is 40 she is probably looking for some $$$

possibly, but some girls would like to get in such a relationship for the money.... If you think it's not a factor, then I really don't see anything wrong with it as long as both of you have an understanding for it. My husband and I are 12 years apart, we are both happy with the outcome of our relationship... Give it a try, especially if she is mature enough.... Hope all works out!

My husband and I have a 22 year age difference, and we have been married for quite some time now, happily at that! I don't think age makes a difference at all as long as you are both legal. Don't base your compatibility on a number

It might work. Think Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas who are 25 years apart.

I tried dating..even lived with a man that was 52 when I was 26...TOO many differences...he was too tired to get out and do the things I wanted to do and his hobbies bored me..but good luck anyway..

If you want to make it work, it will work. - But don't be blind to the many differences between you due to age... or the fact that one of you will end up living the latter part of life alone.....

Nothing ventures, nothing wins and love is all.

Yes, it can work if you're both like-minded (as long as she's at least 18!). It will have it drawbacks from time to time but, as with any couple, if you're both willing to make it work then it will.
