The LORD says, "All their wickedness began at Gilgal; there I began to hate them. I will drive them from my land because of their evil actions. I will love them no more because all their leaders are rebels. The people of Israel are stricken. Their roots are dried up; they will bear no more fruit. And if they give birth, I will slaughter their beloved children." (Hosea 9:11-16 NLT)

NOTICE, GOD SAID OF ISRAEL THAT HE WOULD:
"I WILL SLAUGHTER THEIR BELOVED CHILDREN"

Glory to God and Praise Jesus, his word will not return void

The King James Version says:

their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb.

Don't you know that the "rules" only apply when christians say that they do?
After all, thier motto is; "do as we say, not as we do"...

You cannot take one verse out of context and understand it the way God meant it. These people were not following God and this is God's punishment for not following Him. In the last chapter of Hosea, God gives Israel a chance to turn from their wickedness and follow Him. It is the same as now. The ppl who denounce God will not live eternally and the ppl who know the Lord as their personal Savior shall have everlasting life.I hope I have said this correctly and that you understand.God Bless

Try reading the KING JAMES version. Pray for God to give you understanding. The new living testament loses some importance in translation. Just my opinion but I've been reading the bible for many many years. I found the advice I gave you has been the best way for me to get answers from God.

Easy answer for this one...
If I took you and locked in you a little room and held you there for twenty years, it would be called kidnapping. And I would be arrested, locked in a little room and held there for 20 years. It would be called justice.

Different people have different rights and can legally and morally do different things. One humas do not have the right to take the live of another (except for live self defense), while a government does have the right in take (and to sacrifice) lives in time of war or as punishment for crimes. Policeman have the right to shoot and kill when needed in their line of work. God has a right even above that as the creator of life.

If you have his wisdom, his knowledge, his power and his authority, then you can decide who lives and dies. Until that time, it is his decision. And until that time he can outlaw us from doing it.

My son is an adult, but he is still my child. Children tend to follow the leadings of their parents. I believe this prophecy dealt with following generations who continued to turn from the Lord, not newborn babies.

Children or newborn babies? Hmm...someone is lying....as usual. But anyway, The evil peoples the Lord are referring to are just that--evil. Next!

Ok, I doubt God really said that. The Bible was written by men, not God. Problems arise when people like you take it too literally.

It is wrong because it is murder. "Thou Shalt not kill." It makes him red with ander when a baby that he has created is killed. it is dis-respectful to him to kill. We should all see little babies who aren't born yet as gifts from him. Why would anyone ever want to destroy a gift or a life? Just because it is not born that does not mean it is okay to kill it. Any other questons just e-mail me.

that message was for israelites. read your bible properly, and you will notice that somethings were only aplicable to the jews/israelis. we are modern xtians. we cant follow word by word in the bible,
eg... the jw dont do blood transfusion coz inthe bible it says "stay away from blood", that was then, there were not fridges to keep things fresh and so they had to stay away from such things, but now will you leave your kid to die when he/she needs blood transfusion???
