I am listening to a song, and hear the word "bekhudi" in the song "hosh waalon ko khabar kya... bekhudi kya cheez hai" Would appreciate it if someone could give me the meaning of the word.

'hosh walo' means-people who are in their full sense.
'bekhudi' is the opposite state of the above. It means a passionate state where being in Love deeply with someone you are totally unaware of all other things going on around you -everything else seems immaterial to you.
The line refers to the blessed state being in so much love with someone that one forgets about everything else. One can't fathom the bliss of such a joyful state unless he or she is so much lost in love to lose sense of everything else around him or her.
It's a very nice gazal- a masterpiece sung by Jagjit Singh.

hosh waley(noun) means ordinary person who are only aware about the things going around him he did not know about feel of the peak of love.
bekhudi (verb) a person who is blessed with the love of his lover and he do not want to know about the world he
