Those folks are what you would call h-y-p-o-c-r-i-t-e-s. There are far too many of these types out there :(.

Hmmm....Judgment is a funny thing when you're not God.
I grew up with Nuns, and Priests. They were nothing but, kind, gentle, knowledgeable, and funny. They are human beings, not God. I suppose Sister Teresa didn't represent the goodness of God, and freeloaded off people...??

Priests and nuns are just people. Most priests believe they have a calling from God. How they respond or are able to respond to that call is up to them.
I cannot speak for nuns. There are very few of them left that follow the teachings of Christ at this time. They are a dying breed.

Its because they think, as they represent god, they can get away with being evil to others and they will be forgiven. They're the most dispicable group of hypocrites.
I wouldn't trust priests or nuns as far as I could throw them!

To serve God I believe you have to trust in the Holy Spirit and have LOVE for other. 1 Corinthians 13 says if we lack LOVE we are nothing. If they are so-called serving God they need to first have love for other and then they will be nicer and then they will truely be serving God.

I think priests and nuns tend to confuse sterness and solemnity with excessive discipline. at the same time though, at times people tend to confuse sterness with meaness... so it goes....
