There are some very good answers here about some very fine God fearing churches so I am going to be as brief as possible. If you are in a church which has *confusion *(1 Corinthians 14: 33 For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,) in it you should bring it to the attention of the Pastor and the Church Board because it is against the teachings of Scripture for confusion to exist in a service when it involves the Holy Spirit or the supposed gifts of the Holy Spirit. By this I mean there are many people that fake a message so they can “fit in” not realizing they are mocking God and are placing their eternal soul in dire jeopardy.
When you bring this to the attention of the church and things do not change, you must find a church where you and your family will all feel comfortable together and be able to worship God as a family. Do not jeopardize your family by sticking with a church just because they appear to have the ‘tongues thing going on’ because there are many churches which speak in tongues that are not of God at all and they are growing in numbers as the end draws closer. Choose a church by the Love and by the Fruits of the Spirit for Jesus said we shall know a tree by the Fruit it bears. Matthew 7: 15-19 (RSV)
15 "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
16 "You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?
17 "Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
18 "A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit.
19 "Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
1 Corinthians 14: 26-33 (RSV)
26 What then, brethren? When you come together, each one has a hymn, a lesson, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification.
27 If any speak in a tongue, let there be only two or at most three, and each in turn; and let one interpret.
28 But if there is no one to interpret, let each of them keep silence in church and speak to himself and to God.
29 Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others weigh what is said.
30 If a revelation is made to another sitting by, let the first be silent.
31 For you can all prophesy one by one, so that all may learn and all be encouraged;
32 and the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets.
33 For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,
I will close with this; I studied for many years for my doctorate of divinity and I struggled with the tongue thing, especially being raised in an assembly of God Church. I never spoke in tongues but yet I had many of the fruits of the Spirit of God working through me. Deep in study and in prayer one day I heard the voice of God speak to me and at that point in my life it was the first time His voice was audible. The words I heard were these, “Ye shall know a tree by the fruit it bears, not by the sound of the wind as it blows through its leaves.” I sat stunned for I can’t say how long but from that day forward everything has been different. Open your heart and your ears and let the Spirit of the Living God speak to you for He is waiting to speak to any and every Believer which will just be silent and listen as we wait upon the Lord.

Not all branches of Pentecostalism have women pastoring over men. Some have women preachers, others don't allow women to do anything other than teach Sunday School and etc. It is the only denomination I know of that believes in speaking in tongues with interpretation so as far as finding a division of it that doesn't have women pastors, I'd try finding an Apostolic church, or maybe a Church of God. One of these should offer you what you're looking for, but no matter where you wind up, make certain it's rooted and grounded in the truth!

I go to an assemly of God church, they do this... but not all of the time.
Tongues are very Biblical... when Paul wrote to the Corinthians, he wasent talking to the Disiples... He was talking about gifts of the Spirit, there are many different gifts, among these are tongues and interpretation of tongues, these different gifts are for every Christian as God disires.
read 1 Corinthians chapter 12...
many Christians don't believe in tongues or miracles today. Usualy because they listen only to their pastor and don't read for themselves, or because they are uncomfortable. Well they are wrong and do not have Biblical thinking... God still does miracles, He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
God bless you and your family
I pray that you will find a good Bible based and Spirit filled church... it is really hard to find a good church woth both good preaching and good worship, but God will see you through.
God bless...

I go to an Interdenominational church that believes in both speaking in tongues WITH interpretation as well as the gifts of the Spirit. The other churches that I know of that also believe this way all end with "Church of God" in their titles. So, I'm not too sure what their denominations is, since the Mormons also have that in their title...and we all know they don't teach speaking in tongues!! It took me a while to find the church I am at, as I grew up Grace Brethren. I too felt that the Bible teaches more than sitting in a pew and a stale sermon with no actual worship. My husband does not accompany me to church either, but I do take my daughters with me. They love it and am glad that I am exposing them to this kind of Christianity as opposed to what I was taught. My husband grew up Baptist (his father is a minister), and does not believe the same as me. I am hoping that one day he will come around, as he shows occasional interest in what goes on at my church and asks me questions. However, if I can find a church with a "neutral" ground, I would be more than willing to attend. But like you, I am unwilling to go back to the "same ol', same ol'". Look up Rhema Bible College in Broken Arrow, OK and they have listings of churches that they endorse...they all teach speaking in tongues WITH interpretation. Good luck!! And God bless!

Try a non denominational church that believes in the Holy Spirit. Also read your Bible on your own. You will be indoctrinated in the faith of Jesus and not a specific religion then choose on your own beliefs. Start with the New Testament.

I think the Pentecostal types, such as Pentecostal, Church of God, Assemblies of God, and there are independent churches, such as I go to. Sometimes there is praying tongues without interpretation. But as with any service, it needs to be done orderly.

HI THERE I BELONG TO A FAITH CALLED THE
CHRISTADELPHIANS WHICH MEANS CHRIST THY BRETHERN. WE ARE BIBLE STUDENTS OUR BROTHERS DO NOT GET PAID TO TEACH. WE STUDY SCRIPTURE AND COMPARE VERSES TO FIND THE TRUTH. AND WE WELCOME EVERYONE TO CHECK US OUT. WE DO NOT BELIVE IN SOME FANTASY THAT ITCHING EARS WANT TO HERE, BUT WE GO BY THE TEACHING OF CHRIST AND HOW HE TOLD THE APOSTLES TO SPREAD HIS WORD. AS FAR AS SPEAKING IN TONGES THAT ABILITY WAS ONLY GIVING TO THE APOSTLES BECAUSE THERE WERE SO MANY DIFFERENT PEOPLE TO TALK TO AT THAT TIME AND WHEN THE APOSTLES DIED THAT ACT DIED WITH THEM. GOD IS NOT A GOD OF CONFUSION AND IF YOU SEEK YOU WILL FIND. WHY GO TO A CHURCH THAT SAYS THEY SPEAK IN TONGES AND NO ONE CAN UNDERSTAND THEM ISNT THAT CONFUSION? GOOD LUCK IN YOU SERCH AND I HOPE YOU WILL READ UP ON OUR TEACHINGS MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND LEAD YOU TO THE LIGHT OF HIS TRUTH
