No, I just watched a documentary on this the onther night. They ARE very very specific, and insist their pizza is made the same by every single location though. The pizza is assembled and baked at each store, but the sauce and dough are premade by a distribution center. They also use a heat infrared sytem to bake the pizza the same way every time and are the ones to invent the heat wave pizza bag to make sure the pizza is hot when you get it! Hope this info helps:)

I have worked at a Dominos. They have the crust shipped as flour mix. They make the mix into dough in the store. The toppings are fresh. The sauce was premade.

Have you not been there and saw them making the dough? Most pizzerias are out in view of the public.

Shipped as whole pizzas? No, that wouldn't be cost effective.
