i don't think there is a standard time for you to start dating again...sometimes you need to let yourself heal and adjust before you can really put yourself out there again. just don't rush into until you're fully comfortable with being with someone new... best of luck

Depends on your goal in dating, and where your head was at in the breakup. Some people emotionally 'leave' a relationship years before they let their partner in on the breakup; they're probably ready within weeks (or less!).
If your goal in dating is just flooding your mind to stop the pain - it doesn't matter, but DO be kind to those you date and let them know that you're 'rebounding', so they know it's not likely to be a long-term thing and can bow out if they are looking for something permanent.
If you mean 'when will I be ready to look for another love - and be able to give people a fair chance' ? Again, it varies, but after a relationship of that length, figure six months to two years, depending on how 'deep' you were in it emotionally. Real love takes quite a while to recover from.

You will know when the time is right for you to move on.... some people move on rather fast in order to get over their x... but it time it will catch up with them.. everyone needs a break unless you truly feel it was over along time before you ended the relationship... When people jump from relationship to relationship it doesn't give them any time to heal and what ever issues that person had with you will be on the new person as well.......time alone is a good thing

When you feel ready. There is no limit to the amount of time you should wait. Learn from the past relationship and try not to make the mistake again. There is someone out there who will love to replace him.......as soon as you are ready.

You do the dating thing when you are ready.....for him, that was 2 weeks....for you it may be 6 months or a year.....it is obvious who care more about who in your relationship

Read this...okay, that's long enough. But, unlike your ex, don't just grab the first option--wait until you meet someone you want to date!!

Its all prefrence on how you want to fill that void.
After my long term Boyfriend dumped me..I started dating right away...I hated that feeling of rejection and alone-ness...
