Most people do wash their hair daily because the type of shampoo and temperature of the water that is used, will make your hair appear oily. It isn't good for your hair because it DOES take the natural oils from your hair. Store bought shampoos have one or more additive that will attach to each hair to make it appear more soft and silky. That only last a few hours, because those additives attract dust and air born pollutants, it will cause the hair to become stringy and oily looking. If you will buy a good quality shampoo from your hair dresser, you'll find you may not need to wash daily. Most often the additives, in store brand, will need to be stripped from the hair in order to get it back to a normal spacing between each hair. This can be done at home or by your hair stylist. I have to wash my hair everyday because if not, my hair gets oily. It's weird. My hair gets really oily but my skin doesn't., I have to wash my hair every 24 hours and hopefully as I get older my hair will dry out so I don't have to do this forever!

anybody has diverse hair textures so not sure what yours is. As a woman who shades my hair i don't wash it frequent as a results of fact then my hair may well be too dry. in case you have organic medium length hair i might recommend figuring out to purchase an extremely trouble-free shampoo and lightweight conditioner in case you will wash it frequent. You be the choose. If on day 2 your hair feels slightly greasy and raveled to the lower back of your head then i might say specific wash it.....if not pass away it. additionally in case you're persevering with to enhance your hair many women stretch out their hair wash days via putting the hair lower back in a pony-tail.

Washing hair everyday would actually dry it out, so you wouldn't normally want to do that. Of course there are exceptions when you would figure it would be worth it...like if you got really hot and sweaty, or dirty.
If you have short hair you'd be cutting the damaged part off frequently, so it wouldn't matter so much, but if you wanted to grow your hair long, frequent washing would increase split ends and stuff.

It depends on what kind of hair you have (oily, dry, etc.) and your activity level. If you exercise a lot, you're almost certainly going to want to wash it every day. It doesn't harm your health at all to wash your hair.

It kind of depends on your hair type. If your hair is already dry, it could be bad for your hair and scalp. If your hair is kind of oily, it's probably okay. Also, don't use a harsh shampoo that strips all the oils out if you're using it every day.

the girl who said not to wash everyday if you have dandruff is wrong. dandruff is actually caused by a fungus so washing wouldnt increase it.
Fungal infections of the skin are highly contagious, and it is easy to reinfect and spread to other areas of the body. This is why it's important to wash your hair daily and to brush out any loose dandruff flakes - so that healthy areas of the scalp will not be infected. Washing your hands after brushing, massaging and grooming your hair will also help prevent reinfection or cross infection.

its not bad for your overall health, but its not good for your hair. each time you shampoo, you strip out all the good, natural oils. you should try to wash your hair only a couple of times a week unless is extremely oily.

It is definitely bad for your hair. Health? I do not think so! Washing your hair everyday causes for your scalp and your hair to go dry and damaged.

unless your hair is really oily, yes it's bad to wash your hair everyday, you hair needs to produce natural oils, and the more you wash your hair, the more oils your washing away.
