Next time a missionary visits your church, take time to talk with them. Maybe have lunch or coffee and really get a first hand education on what it takes to live that calling.
They will point you in the right direction, as far as educational opportunities and requirements.

A missionary?! You're gonna go out into the poor ignorant world and covert those "poor souls" to your religion?! In my would you'd go to hell for that but I don't believe in hell (or heaven for that matter) so lucky for you. I'm so glad you know the one right religion and all those primitive people are just waiting for your fountain of knowledge and wealth of new and better things. Stay home.
