How many of you observe Palm Sunday, Passover, and Good Friday as well as Easter?

Don't Worry, you're right. Rabbits and eggs have nothing to do with Jesus, but that isn't an excuse.

As a Catholic, these four feasts are all part of the liturgical year and represent the life of Jesus Christ on Earth in real time, from His entry into Jerusalem on Palm (Passion) Sunday, His celebration of the Passover feast on what we call Holy Thursday, His Crucifixion on Good Friday, and His Resurrection on Easter Sunday. I celebrate all of these.

I know there is an argument that Easter is a pagan holiday, and the american version of baskets and bunnies has, for the most part, left out all mention of the religious events that are the cause for celebration. However, there is nothing pagan about the celebration within the Church!

Eashtar was the goddess of fertility. Hence the eggs and bunnies.

Presumably the significance of the Palm branch in the Bible is lost on you. As well as the significance of the 10th of the month which was the day on which they waved the Palm branches.

Passover begins at sunset at the close of the 14th day. Of course, if it was "Palm Sunday" then that would mean that it was "Good Thursday" rather than "Good Friday". Does it even suggest "Sunday" in the text? How do you get "3 days and 3 nights" worked in?

I do not celebrate Easter but I do go to Jesus's memorial every year on passover. Easter is a pagean holiday and the raibbits and egss symbolize sex and fertilation having nothing to do with Jesus
