I would have to say the scientist. The results from research into the origins of life can more likely lead the scientist PAST the standard religious dogma, and into a much clearer realization that it was not an accident. But, the 7 year old is corrupted of free will at an early and very vulnerable stage in personal development. To look at other alternatives is much more difficult.

A 7 year old isnt ready to make life decisions. Custard or ice cream is about as important as it gets until they are older. Lots of scientists have converted because they feel guilt that they are finding out things that contradict christianity and are shunning god in a way. Unitl we realize that religion in general is just a superstition that belongs in the dark ages when people werent educated, we wont get anywhere.

stupid question for many reasons:
1) You make the false assumption that scientists are inherently athiests. many of the greatests minds in science history were devout christians.
2) Science is constantly changing. There are very few laws in science that absolute and not subject to scrutiny, revision and in some cases outright dismisal. Even Einstein's theories have been debated in scientific circles. It is religion that deals in absolutes. not science.
3) How many 7 year olds convert to any religion? I went to church when i was 7 because i was told to. At 7 you are barely reading let alone contemplating conversion. i have never met a 7 year old who brands himself an atheist either.
This question is a perfect example of why it is hard for people to have meaningful dialogue. This question was not a question in the true sense of the word but an attempt to fish for wha tone already believes.

A scientist - if a seven year old is not already a christian its unlikely they will convert of their own free will. Scientist on the other hand come face to face with mind blowing concepts only philosophers can understand. So faced with trying to understand that time does not exist and space has no identifiable boundaries they are quite likely to grab a crutch.

I think the 7 year old, the scientist would keep his beliefs.
If you payed a little more attention to science you would know that a child's brain develops at the age of 5. and the earth is not 6000 years old either. Dinosaur crap in fossils proved that theory wrong.

It's not a matter of the 7 year old atheists' "brain developing completely"; it's that he hasn't spiritually matured enough to be accountable for his actions. The atheistic scientist, with his knowledge and ability can better understand the Word if he truly opens his mind to it and allows it to be more than a regular book to him. Besides, how many 7 year old self proclaimed atheists do you know of? If they cannot fully comprehend God because of their mental immaturity, how can they grasp atheism?

I actual have under no circumstances met a unmarried baby that did not believe God became actual, which incorporates the toddlers of atheists. those too youthful, or in the different case unable, to make a range for themselves are not from now on held to blame. See the tale of King David's toddler; David states obviously that this baby is with God. i believe your tale isn't some thing yet a lie, invented in an attempt to discredit Christianity. received't artwork, in spite of the indisputable fact that.

The seven year old, because the scientist will most likely try to explain everything with logic and reason rather than miracles or a higher power.

I doubt there is a single 7 year old athiest on the face of the planet. It's hard to find a seven year old that not only doesn't believe in God, but also denies the very possibility of a God existing. I don't think seven year olds really think like that.
