Well, you'll retain more water, but as long as your kidneys work good, they will get rid of the water and sodium. If you are young and don't have high blood pressure, it doesn't matter how much you take, unless it's too much.

If you have high blood pressure, then a high sodium intake it will increase it further. So we usually recommend avoiding it, although not completely.
