Better, is determined on what it is exactly you value.
If you value your life, sometimes Atheist is better. (depends on the kind of Atheist)
If you value sacrificing that life to others, then Christianity is better.

We are all created equal in the sight of God, just depends on where we go from there. We all have to make our choices in life. We choose to believe or not to. I am a Christian. I do not have the forces that changes people, I can just live life the way that I choose. There is an old saying where I live: Every little piggy has to carry it;s own hide to market, be it fat or skinny.

Why are you limiting it to Christians for the religious side? There are all kinds of spiritual people who believe in god who are not Christians. Christians are the least experienced of all major religions.

SHouldn't this question be phrased as "Which is better, atheism or theism?"

And the answer depends on who you ask, like all things.

Cathy hewed 1946... you think atheists believe nothing and chrisitans believe in something? Wrong. Atheists believe in no higher power, which you can see (if you were intelligent at all) is a belief. Christians believe in fairy tales and dreams.

Frankly speaking, it's really up to the individual isn't it? This is too subjective a question. You can never get a definite answer!
