Potential for danger. Some may become obsessed with attention and end up spoiling REAL relationships in the process. But I guess that doesn't actually answer your stated question so I would say that I find it very annoying. Especially when people talk about the friends they have met on-line. These people are complete strangers that your talking to and not friends at all.

Flirting for fun is always a laugh but if people then take it too seriously you can be dodging and avoiding people.
