Start getting some action. Seriously, folks today wait too long to get married. It's atypical for the rest of human history.

But just as seriously, don't fret about it. It's open to wide debate whether it's a sin or not.

If you get more active w/ other things (sports, friends, church, school, etc) you'll do this less.

Next week will be my 2 years w/o doing it. I think to really stop you have to be at the pit of your low, want something more than just momentary pleasures. I may be wrong but I think somehow God will hmmm not neccessarly reward me, but will choose a great girl for me to marry.

But I know how you feel and there's great books out there like every mans battle, not even a hint etc.

But heres #1 way to stop masturbating. You have to not lust. Though impossible it may seem, it is possible but it is a everyday struggle. You have to control your mind from fantasizing, looking at girls walk down the street, etc..

You gotto believe me when its hard for me to look away when there is a hot girl walking by and I look down or the other way. Thats e-z, not thinking about it is HARD~!, I think im almost 100% there from not thinking about it.

Plus lastly, I'm a guy so this may seem a been girly but you have to really believe in love and romance. When I get the urges I remind myself of how would I feel if other guys are fantasizing and masturbating about my future wife (26/I'm still single)

Hey good luck brother, I can write an essay about it but I dont think people would read it.

God bless

I am sorry to inform you but your pastor or priest has been lying to you. Masturbation is not a sin. Masturbation is not mentioned in the bible in anyway shape or form. It is not in the old testament or the new testament. So don't worry about stopping. It is good for you mentally, physically, and emotionally. Just show moderation and remember like all sex it should personal and private.

Well, masturbating is not a sin actually. It is normal for us humans to do that. Religiously speaking, they say it is a sin because you try to think bad/exploitation on others. If you feel so guilty after doing that then it is a sin, but if not, you're still doing it right. I'm a medical person, so i know it is just right to do it. After all, i do it everyday. 3x a day. : )

So, DON'T QUIT!

Don't feel gulity if you are doing it.
As long as you don't become addict it's not a problem.
If you feel addicted try diverting your mind and activity towards hobbies and other things.
As long as you don't have thoughts that would harm or hurt others if they/those tohughts are real or / are practiced, it's not a problem. Just, if it's you and your masturbation alone and for fun/pleasure then it's not a problem. Just a routine lkike eating and sleeping.
If you get more bugged on the issue try talking to a counsellor like doctors in psychology. It does'nt mean you have psychological problems, talking to them means they are professionals to advise on those issue as a friend. You won't be embarrassed.
The simple rule : anything in thought or deed that hurts others should not be done/practised!! As long as you don't hurt others and yourself nothing wrong in doing it!!

Here are steps you can take on top of reducing masturbation frequency:

1. Reduce the intake of hormone-polluted beef and dairy products. Red meat traps too much hormone-polluted blood. Instead, bring more seafood and poultry into your diet.

2. Eat more seeds, nuts, and soybeans, which contain L-arginine (the natural growth-hormone agents) and Isoflavones (the plant estrogen for anti-cancers and tumor hormones and the liver function enhancers), to help cool down the prostate. Shrinking your prostate will have wonderful effects on your body and can aid in stopping a hair loss pattern.

3. Eat more fresh vegetables and fruits for more anti-cancerous and tumor plant hormones and anti-oxidants/vitamins/minerals. You can even try taking a multi-vitamin/mineral to get the antioxidant group into your dietary habits. Notable vitamins are C, E, A, and notable herbs that promote blood circulation are ginseng and ginkgo biloba.

4. Participate in more outdoor activities to communicate with nature and exercise more to consume testosterone in the muscles of the body, rather than burn it into DHT. Try jogging or even taking a brisk walk. Any kind of physical activity is much better for your body than sitting around in front of a TV, especially if you don’t normally move around much.

Stop? Why would you want to do that? More people should do that. Maybe this world would be a better place if more people did that as a release, lol! You know, such as no more rapists or child molesters. If they masturbated more, they wouldn't feel the need to go prey on innocents. I don't know just my own theory.

Who says it's a sin?

I would not stop, unless it is interfering with your daily activities (meaning you can't hold a job because you are spanking the monkey too much) you should be OK.

If it does interfere, get professional help.

Cut it off!
If it offends you cut it off!

Try saying no to yourself. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you strength to reisist the urge. Don't put yourself in the position that leads to the situation that makes you horny.
Intead try spending more time in the prayer closet and ask Him to reveal himself in more intimate way, and be willing to lay down everything for Him. As you do you will find the things of the world will soon be of no interest. Then you will find you have more will power to resist and you will also have no desire for that habit.
Cause Jesus will be your focus, not your Self.

honestly - find something to fill your time. seriously ~ the reason your doing this is because it feels good. and who doesn't like to feel good. but if it's starting to bother you or making you feel guilty then do something else with your energy. play some basketball, go for a walk or run,do some laundry, go out for lunch/ dinner and a movie. all depending on what you like. all in all you just have to stop thinking about it, if it bothers you that much. if not keep on rocking on. i personally don't see anything wrong with satisfying yourself, if you have no one else to do it, of course.
