um...doesnt belong to anyone...what ever country the river runs through, it is there "part" of the river....how you said USA, doesnt make any since...

The Amazon is in Brazil and I know they do not care much aaabout what happens to it. so the world should get involved.

Most of it runs through Brazil but due to the systematic killing of the rain forest UN declared it as "patrimonio de la humanidad" roughly translated as "mankind property"
