HMMMMM well geography is a subject that many Americans do not know a lot about. HOWEVER the same could be said about most other countries. Go to a little village in the Middle East and ask them were Easter Island is. To say that all yanks are unaware geographically is like saying all Arabs are Muslim. Misconception and stereotypes are a major reason for problems all over the world.

Why are all Brits so snooty? I KNOW where Iraq is and so does my son in law, who happens to be there with some Brits that "stuck their noses in" at the same time. The insurgents in Iraq are led by fanatics that would take the place of the deposed Hussein and continue in his tradition. We know geography and thanks to Americans, "sticking their noses in", you Brits are still the United Kingdom and not part of the "Fatherland"

I agree with you totally! There was a guy from the states that I spoke with couple of months ago. He asked me where am I from, I said Singapore and he said something like, "oh, which part of CHINA?" I nearly fainted. Despite the fact that Singapore government has been paying so much for product placement in films like 'Pirates of the Caribbean' and 'King Kong'. What a laughing stock they are.

What makes you so pompous as to think Americans are ignorant of geography? Are you aware that if the United States didn't "stick their nose" into the affairs of other countries, what would happen?

Are you aware the USA supplies more money and aid than ANY OTHER country in the world yet it asks for nothing except that everybody gets along?

The USA has liberated many countries from dictatorship and those countries now have more freedoms than ever before. The USA helps to ensure the rest of the free world remains that way - FREE!

The USA stuck it's nose into Germany's affairs and helped prevent the murder of additional millions of innocent people if Adolph Hitler was allowed to continue his dictatorship.

The USA loaned France $12 million in 1797. Then in 1799, France refused to pay $20 million in compensation for American ships taken by the French navy. That makes for $32 Million in a 2 year period that was owed and went unpaid. Since 1799, France has "borrowed" more money and to this day, they haven't even attempted to make a payment. Even though France gave the USA a "trinket" that can be found at Ellis Island, it was probably something they didn't want in the first place...

Iraq is believed to owe the United States about $4 billion, including interest. Most of the debt is thought to involve U.S. financing for Iraqi agriculture.

In 1995, the U.S. loaned $20 billion to Mexico, to prevent a government collapse. This country is still dirt poor from a still corrupt government and their citizens illegally enter the USA each and every day in order to survive.

In 1998, India received more than $143 million in U.S. aid while Jordan, pocketed more than $192 million. Egypt, the second largest U.S. foreign aid recipient owes the USA $2.1 billion.

None of the above countries have repaid the "loans" yet the USA "sticks its nose" into their business and continues to help them still.

As of April 18th, 2006, the total U.S. government debt was $8.395724 trillion dollars! Do you know of any country offering to help out the US or even pay back the money they borrowed??? No, you don't because it hasn't happened.

If the US had its loans repaid, the money could provide better care for its own poor citizens. But no, the USA is on a financial downhill slide by helping other countries feed their citizens and helping to prevent the world from being over taken by dictators, terrorists and similar madmen that their citizens are too sissy to overthrow.

The war in Iraq continues because countries such as France and Germany refuse to get involved. Of course the USA bailed them both out during WWII and gave them loans never to be repaid. But, when things for them become difficult, guess who they'll call upon? Yes, the USA will come to their rescue again. And of course, they'll continue to sit back and do nothing while America takes care of their dirty work for them.

The people of the US freely elect who they want to govern them, not family hand-me-downs. We're even allowed to say our president sucks if we want - can you say the same about your queen and not get into trouble for it?

Granted, the United States isn't perfect, but I'll tell you one thing... It must be pretty good or else it wouldn't have as many immigrants as it does. Compare the immigration figures against any other country in the world and see for yourself.

Should I assume ALL people from the UK have rotten teeth? Should I assume ALL or most UKers can't think clearly due to hardening of the arteries from eating too many sausages?

Should I assume that because you had a stroke and are more or less housebound that you have nothing better to do than log onto your computer and try to stir up hard feelings with Americans?

If you want to be on a soapbox to rant and rave, find another country than the US to find fault with - preferably one that is parasitic - you know, one that borrows money with no intention of repaying, or one that is full of terrorists with a dictator just waiting for the chance to rule the world or a country where their citizens assume Americans are all alike.

Since you apparently don't have a self-supporting job, you must have way too much free time on your hands, my friend. Allow me to suggest you spend some of that time by learning a few facts BEFORE you make assumptions and post them. If not, then you're no better than a common garden variety internet troll and should be dealt with in a fashion you can understand.
