This just proves that all the non-believers that think they know about the bible don’t! Jesus said, “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment” John 7:24
Righteous in the Greek meaning, observing divine laws. We are to judge according to God’s word.
I would say if you are a non-believer and are interested in truly understanding the bible ask, but don’t quote scripture you know nothing about. I’m done! You don’t have to worry about me, but I thought that this needed to be said. God is love! I love God and therefore I love all of you, but I can’t go on sitting idly by allowing you to disrespect my Father, my God. He is much more than you know and I pray that all non-believers see the light before it is too late! God bless! Amen!

you are right about judging with righteous judgment. but many people who claim to be Christian don't believe in judging either.. yet the Bible tells us that "by their fruits will will know them (our brothers and sisters in Christ). some days it's hard to figure out who is a believer because they say it, but the fruits aren't there.
there is also righteous anger, which Jesus himself shown us when he went into the temple and saw money changers in there selling and trading. was he wrong for feeling such anger over what was going on in the house of prayer? no. are we wrong for being angry when someone degrades our Father and Lord? no.. yet you will be called holy roller, Bible thumper, and judgmental by non-believers and even some who call themselves Christian! I totally agree with you. as for your question, they can't interpret the Bible because they don't have the Holy Spirit to give them the knowledge to know what is being said. we only have the Holy Spirit when we become believers. so it's impossible for them to understand. they get mad at God's word and blame it on us because it convicts them.

You claim to know how to interpret scripture and then use Righteous in the Greek meaning as an example. You do realize that the original bible was in Aramaic and then TRANSLATED to Greek. Therefore, your example is probably invalid in the original version. Don't try and accuse others of interpreting scripture wrong when you yourself are guilty of fraudulent ideas in your question. I know perfectly well how to interpret scripture. You obviously don't or you would not still believe. There is so much in the bible to prove it's falseness. That you have overlooked it shows that you know nothing about how to interpret it.

Hmmm... are you familiar with the expression 'pompous twit'?
How is it possible to 'disrespect' something that does not exist?
And these scriptures... the inerrant word of god, that only the 'faithful' can be trusted to 'interpret'... these would include...?...
* terrarium earth
* talking snakes and donkeys
* demons
* friendly spirits
* evil spirits
* walking on water
* multiplying loaves and fishes
* people raising from the dead
* stopping the sun in its tracks
* parting seas
* people being bodily sucked up into heaven (which, by the way, lies on the other side of the sky)
* world-wide floods
* creating people from dust bunnies and ribs
* magical trees of knowledge
* gods speaking from burning bushes
* ritual cannibalism by eating your god in the form of a cracker
Sweet.

Can I get a promise from Christians then not to quote the Hebrew Scriptures without asking for the correct meaning first?

When religious advocates try and prove to non-believers by quoting scripture that is open to interpretation since no one can exactly translate biblical text, you only prove that there was a man, who was a healer. who said we have a higher calling for our spiritual souls. Since I'm only informing you of some mistakes you make, i do respect your choice in being a devote follower of our higher being. But There will always be skeptics and there will always be non-believers (eg, atheists). But all you need to have is your own faith, and by your scripture, you will be rewarded in heaven.

I agree with you. In order to understand scripture, you must ask God for the knowledge and understanding. Quoting it to your own ends won't do any good and people need to realize that before it's too late. And they say Christians are the ones condemning them. They're condemning themselves.

To understand the Bible, Torah, and Koran, you must understand the people who wrote them, their target audience, and the context within which it was written.
It's too bad that most religions completely ignore all of that and take their scriptures at face value.

You are not supposed to judge others at all...and as far as scripture goes it belongs to all of us, believers and non-believers alike and we can interpret it as we see fit...you have no special claim to it or to it's interpretation...kindly remember that in future and quit being so vain and arrogant.
