'6 Billion people 1/3 starving to death! Where's God?' There is enough food in the rest of the planet to provide for the 1/3rd world. We don't because we are greedy. What wars have been spilt in the name of the Lord? Not one your thinking religion. Totally different altogether. Why do baby's die? The same reason everyone dies. (I actually do know the answer but you won't like it.) Why do relious people get E>G cancer and die in agony? Why should religious people be different from anybody else in the world? Where's God? Where's God?
Its amazing isn't it? People like you slag God off, you refuse to believe in him and you ask crappie questions like this. You live for yourself, if God is there then you practically tell him to get stuffed. Then when bad things go wrong you ask, 'Where's God?' Where do you think he is? he's waiting for idiots like you to stop pretending you don't believe and turn around and ask him into their hearts. You do worship the devil if you don't worship God. He doesn't give a stuff if you don't believe in him. he prefers it that way. And idiots like you are letting him laugh at God. You really are pathetic.

Why is that you blame God?? Have you ever thought that we make our own bad choices and suffer accordingly? Yes, babies die,and so do nice little Grandmas..We suffer according to our karmas. What we are going through is a debt coming to repay us. No one is born into this world to enjoy. This world is not perfect, and God created it that way. Why?? Because we have such a thing called free will, and we choose to try and enjoy this miserable world. We are part and parcel of God and being such, the soul cannot be satisfied by anything within this world. Forgetting this we run after our own self-interest and try to fulfill our own purposes and gratify our senses. God mercifully reminds us that we don't belong here in a land of suffering, but that we belong in a world of loving service to him.
Your suggestion of better to reign in hell then to serve in heaven is sad and miserable. Look and see how we are not meant for this horrible place and set your heart right that our only duty is to serve and love God.

I object strongly to people stating "more people have died in the name of the Lord". In the 20th Century, more people died in wars than in all other centuries AD put together. The main culprits; atheistic regimes; Naziism, Pogroms and massacres in USSR, Khmer Rouge, Rwanda. None of these were to do with religion.
The "problem of suffering" is one of the oldest debates in history.
There's a good book on the subject, which I'm reading at the moment, "Where is God when it hurts?" by Philip Yancey. Try it, it may answer a few of your questions.

It is a thing called "sin". (You've probably heard of it before)
It is what drives people to hatred, murder, rape, divorce, broken promises, lies, etc. It is the cause of every war that has ever been fought.
It effects not only man, but the forces of nature around him so that sickness and disease to run rampage, natural disasters to kill or impoverish thousands, babies and others die.
People are not starving because of a lack of food. They are starving because of a lack of compassion. They are starving because evil tyrants would rather see their people die then lose their money, because corrupt governments would rather refuse aid then lose their power.
They are dying of disease because people are not answering God's call to become doctors and scientist dedicated to finding the cures for disease. (Like Mother Theresa's answer to the question "Why hasn't God given someone the cure for AIDS?". She replied, "He did, but you aborted him.")
There is an answer. It is called the "new birth". It is letting God change the deepest nature within you so that sin need not have power over you anymore. Then you are free to do all the things that need doing to end the war, poverty, disease, etc. in the world.
Since my committment to Christ, I have become active with helping to feed, cloth, and educate children in Honduras, the second poorest nation in the Americas. There a child only receives a third grade education from the state. So they continue to live in poverty, hunger and disease. I help to sponsor a school that is breaking this cycle of poverty. It is giving them not only a reading, writing and math education, but training carpenters, electricians, business managers, computer techs, teachers, pastors, and more. As the hands and feet of God I am helping to change this world to what He wants it to be.
You are welcome to join us in make a difference for good in the world. The new birth through Christ is available for you and anyone else. If enough of us actually make that committment to Christ and begin to do the things He called us to, all your questions would be pointless. Because we will have changed the world and freed it from the destruction of sin.
If you would like to make the committment, let me know, and I will be glad to pray with you.

Simple: there's no deity whatsoever, and people show grow up and out of this. Stop relying on a magic fat guy in the sky.
Rely on yourself, and help change the world in the ways you can. Make it a better place while you are here. This is the only life and chance you'll get. Afterwards, it's over.

The problems you mentioned are not created by God but by our own selfishness. God doesnt interfere with human agency, if He wanted to He would have created robots not human beings. Rich countries not willing to share with poorer countries? Rich people not willing to share with poorer people? Thats not God at work, thats you and me!
About what God does for us- He rains His blessings over both good and bad, He forgives us bearing in mind that we are only humans made from dust. Those lucky coincidences in your life that prevented you from being knocked over by a car or being in the wrong place at the wrong time? That was Him showing you that He cares for you even though you find it hard to believe in Him. He loves you anyway, He knows you are just ignorant. But if you sincerely want proof that He is real it doesnt come from trying to prove that He isnt.

Simplistically speaking. Why not blame everything on GOD. If we were to really find the wrong doers, punish them for their crimes by putting them away for a few hundred years, That would really solve the problems.
It's simple. on planet earth GOD created HUMANITY consisting of 2 elements, Males and Females, each dependant of one another to assure the continuation of humanity.
Try showing respect for one another for the opportunity called life bestowed upon us all by our parents, and all of the above problems will eventually go away.

I'll tell u why
If 6 billion people are starving etc,.... it's up to the remaining 12 million to ensure that they don die..... Allah (unique Arabic name for God) canot directly intervene as then the meaning of life would no longer remain. Allah has said in the last testament "The Holy Qur'an" that this life is a test for the hereafter... Allah also says in the Qur'an to all the people ...... " we will test you with poverty, loss of life ...etc" ...... so that we may know who is the better of you.... Everything is a test... you name it ... everything!. At one place Allah says " We have created life and death so we may see which of u is best in deeds"....BUT....BUT..... Allah is never unjust even in the least degree ....he has shown us the way how poverty can be erradicate from this world....
In Islam every able rich who has a certain amount of money ...it is obligatory on him to give 2.5% of his savings every lunar year in charity... if even the 40 most richest individuals of the world give this amount evry lunar year.......POVERTY WILL BE ERADICATED FROM THIS WORLD...i say account for that!!
You May also ask about the disasters and natural calamities which kill thousands of people... Again this is also a test for the people who survived... In this way Allah sees if the person really trusts Him or is it in just good times that the person worships and thanks Him....and as for the people who dye in the disaster ...their time had come... they had to die in this way... a third reason Allah tells is the reason for disaster in some cases is PUNISHMENT... for e.g the nation of Lut was sent the punishment of Allah when they denied the messenger and were also turning to males for their life partners (if u know what i mean)....
As for babies ...babies dying are a test for the parents... to test their obedience and patience... as for the dead baby... he/she goes directly to Paradise after judgemen day.. Islam unlike Christianity believes that every child is born "sinless"
GOD NEVER WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS... HE HAS CREATED FOR THIS EARTH HIS GREATEST CREATION: HUMAN AND HAS GIVEN THEM FREEWILL TO DO WHATEVER THEY WANT SO THAT HE MAY ""TEST"" WHICH OF US IS BEST IN DEEDS!
But Allah says in the Holy Qur'an:
"EVERY SOUL SHALL HAVE A TASTE OF DEATH"
and also
"THE FINAL RECOMPENSE WILL BE PAID ON JUDMENT DAY"
and finally
" SO WHOMSOEVER HAS DONE AN ATOM SIZED GOOD SHALL SEE TO IT... AND WHOMSOEVER HAS DONE AN ATOM SIZED BAD SHALL SEE TO IT"
" AND TO HIM IS THE FINAL RETURN"
--The Holy Qur'an
hope my humble effort answers the question;
may peace, mercy and blessings of Allah (unique Arabic name for God) be on you and all the viewerts;
thnx for reading

God has given us intelligence. It is not his fault that we use it for destructive work. No religion propogates death and destruction but peace and prosperity. We humans misinterpret it and..... you know. So don't think negatively, think positive. You can still make the world a better place to live and play. Enjoy buddy.

I too wonder about these things. So if God is behind these lucky coincidences and stops us being run over, he must be capable of stopping tragedies or accidents happening to innocents like babies, children or animals. We always seem to thank God when anything good happens, so He must be able to stop bad things happening.
