I have had blood test, everything was fine. I have been given antihistamines, seroquel. Nothing is working and it is driving me crazy.

I have found Aveeno colloidal oatmeal bath to be soothing, can be found at most drugstores.

You might ask your doctor about Vistaril, if they haven't tried that yet. It is often effective for chronic itching that has no known cause. And you might also ask about using an antianxiety agent, as mental distress can also cause such things.

It might be stress. When I was going through a particularly stressful part of my life, I started scratching my inner forearms. I would scratch until I had little sores. Then I went on to the tops of the arms until the skin felt like leather. Then I started scratching my neck and upper chest area until it was covered with sores and bleeding. I scratched in my sleep. I would scratch so badly that it would wake my husband who would then wake me to stop me. Cortisone helped a little but simply conciously forcing myself to stop worked the best. Now when I notice I am starting to scratch, I make a point of stopping right away.

A different time, I scratched my hands so much I had to get a note from the doctor so I could go to work because my hands looked like a scaly reptile that was shedding it's skin.

Good luck. If it is stress, it is a hard thing to break.

perhaps you have scabies... I dont know forreal...
maybe its your sheets, mattress... clothes, detergents.. a variety of different things... I would try some itch cream or something. Just becuse there is nothing to be sense with the eye does not mean there isn't an infection. I would go back to the Dr.. and get a better checkup... document systems, times, changes...

Did they test your liver enzymes? Are the white of your eyes or skin yellowish? I was given Cholestyramine Oral Suspension Powder to mix with water 3 times daily and Orso salt tablets 2 times daily. It worked for my but took a couple of weeks.

Oh its probably your soap. Your skin sounds like it is super sensitive....try using the soap called *Pure*..I know it comes in a bar form, they may have a bath wash out by now...but I really think this soap will help you. Also, there's another called Cetaphil, and they have a lotion too.... both are really basic, pure soaps...even more so than Ivory. Just remember that applying too much lotion can back fire too...so try the brands I listed, and I hope you feel better soon!

Good luck!
