The engagement ring is usually more flashy and a little bigger. The wedding band is more understated. Usually they are a matching set so they look nice when you wear the engagement ring and the wedding band together.

Generally, you get the engagement ring at the proposal and the wedding band at the wedding ceremony. However, some do purchase an "all-in-one" ring that is both the engagement and wedding ring/band. You just take it off before the ceremony and use it for the exchanging of the rings.

The traditional way is you do receive an engagement ring when he proposes. Then you usually have a wedding band that you receive at the wedding. Some people wear both rings together. However, some engagement rings are so extravagant that they do not need a wedding band. It's usually your choice!

You get an engagement ring for your engagement & a wedding band at the ceremony. Most rings are bought in what is called a bridal set. You only wear the engagement ring until the ceremony, then you put the weding band on then the engagement ring back on & that makes your set.

Usually it's a bridal set that goes together or some couples use gold rings. Sometimes the engagement ring is the one for the wedding as well. It all depends on the style he chooses.
