Being non-religious doesn't make you evil. There are plenty of people who don't believe in any kind of god and are still honest, hard-working, polite, considerate, etc. There are also people who claim to believe in God (or a god) but abuse children and spouses both physically and sexually, are serial murderers like the BTK killer. It's possible for someone who is not religious to know the difference between right and wrong and do right and avoid wrong, but where did the standard of right and wrong come from? Isn't the Bible the standard?

No! Of course you're not evil if you're not religious! I'm not religious but definitely not evil (never mind my screen name, it's kind of an inside joke)
I won't even kill spiders sometimes.. I feel bad for them!
And yes I know when something is wrong: when the action will either hurt yourself or someone else.
Common sense, too! I don't need religion to have common sense, that's for sure!

A religious nature is normally associated with a proud nature and not with piety. There is a difference. A pious person is a humble person, and God respects this attitude. A proud person is a sinful person, and God hates pride. So, to answer your question in a literal sense, no, it is not evil if you are not religious. Pride is evil because it places a person's esteem above the person of God. This is what the devil does. If you humble yourself before our creator and respect him and his position over you, then you are not evil; else you are. Jesus loves you.

You are not evil, A lot of people who profess to be religious are evil. If you are a good person I think that is great. I think if you read your bible and became aquainted with Jesus Christ and accepted him as your personal savior you would find such peace in your life that you would never let him go. I know I have.

The higher being put the knowing of right and wrong in your heart. But as you grow up and are tainted more by the the world it will become harder and harder to tell right from wrong.
But Christians don't become christian so they can be the big authority on everything. They become christian because they accept the sacrifice that was made for them and desire to grow closer to One that loves them so.

No you are not evil if you are not religious. There are many moral people that don't follow any religion, and there are also many amoral people that are religious (i.e. child molesting priests).
Those of us that are moral and not religious don't need someone else to tell us what our morals are. We already know that killing is bad and sleeping with your sister's husband is bad. And we figured that one out on our own! Wow!

So, you are saying that your heart knows right from wrong? How so? Two people do not think exactly the same so their hearts may say different. so, in your heart, how would you know if you are right. Unless you yuorself decide what is right and wrong according to you.
