Either that, or she is having a false pregnancy. I'll go get some info for you in a moment...

Does she look pregnant? Has she been gaining weight? Does she act differently? Be right back...

Edit: Okay. Please read this... http://www.thepetcenter.com/gen/fap.html

And take note of this: "Any b*tch showing false pregnancy is apt to have a reoccurrence in the future... ...There seems to be a greater risk of pyometra, a severe infection of the uterus, in any female dog that has had false pregnancies."

The above being one of the very strong indicators that she should be spayed. Pyometra can be fatal if not recognized and treated promptly.

How do we know if a female is pregnant? You can have a vet examine the dog. An ultrasound scan can be performed starting on day 21 and an x-ray on day 45; this is when the puppy's skeletons will be visible.

If she was with a male about 45-55 days ago, yes she is likely pregnant.

If there were no males around when she was in 'heat', it is likely a false pregnancy...the hormones kick in and the poor dog essentially goes through a pregnancy with no resulting puppies.
this is common in un-spayed females.

In a few days, she is likely to begin making a nest, and expecting pups, whether or not she is pregnant.

She could be yes. She could also be going through what a lot of humans go through which is called a false pregnancy. If you do not think she is pregnant you should get her to the vet. Even if she is you should get her to the vet. Good luck.

she could be pregnant, but she could be having a false pregnancy as well. That is where her body thinks it is pregnant, and will start to produce milk, but there are no babbies. You need to take her to the vet so that you can be sure, and so she can get a checkup.
