You see im adopted, and I needed my adoptive parents help to arrange a meeting with my foster parents. My foster parents were my only link to finding my birth parents. My adoptive parents went back on their promise to help, and now I have no way of arranging a meeting with them. You see when they went back on their promise they hurt me more than they realized. I havent forgiven them yet, and I dont know if I ever will.

There may be other extenuating circumstances as to why they haven't followed through. The foster parents might not want to be identified or your biological parent(s) want to remain anonymous. If that's the case, your folks didn't have any choice in the matter. In any case, your adoptive parents are the ones who have brought you up as their very own child and care for you very much.
Later maybe you'll learn the reason for this decision and you'll see the wisdom in their decision and your feelings for them will change for the better.

This is obviously very important to you to meet your birth parents. I can see why you are hurt about them going back on there promise. You should sit down with them and explain your hurt to them and tell them this is hard for you to forgive them, don't act out with them, just tell them the truth or write a letter. Maybe then they can help you understand more why they went back on their promise to you. Maybe when you are a grown adult you will understand why they made this choice and you will be grateful and forgive them.

I would really make a point of sitting down to talk to them to let them know how you feel. Don't get angry or yell, this will only close them off. Be open to what they say. They may have thought they were doing it in your best interests. Explain why this is so important to you. Maybe you can persuade them to be more willing to help. Are you scarred for life? Only if you let it eat away at you every day.

I think you need to talk to your parents about this.
There might be a real good reason for why the
foster parents wouldn't help. There is alot to
consider. What you want might not be what your
birth parents want at this time. I believe your very
fortunate to have adoptive parents who care about
you. They only want whats best for you.
Even if you let them know your hurting it helps you
clear your feelings.

I don't know how it was for you growing up but don't hate your adoptive parents. They made a sacrifice to raise a child that wasn't thier own. Maybe they didn't want you to find out something that was going to hurt you. I don't know your adoptive parents but i do know for them to take you into thier home and raise you as they would their own child they must love you alot. Just talk to them and I'll keep you in my prayers.

Tell them this and ask them what led them to make that choice.

They may have equally strong feelings for backing down.
