No. The Communist experiment demonstrated that a society built without God does not promote a wonderful world either. The problem isn't religion, it's what people do in the name of religion. If they didn't have religion, the evil people would just do their evil in the name of whatever the reigning philosophy was. There are a lot of good people of faith (all faiths!) in this world who make this world a much better place than it otherwise would be.

Religion basically evolved to teach peace and hormony, but in the recent period, some people have manipulated in such a way as to create hatred towards other religion. You love God. but hate other people ! That shows the hollowness of modern religions.
YES ! World would be a better place without such religions which cause mutual hatred and enemity. but if you follow a religion with basic noble values, it may help you rather than misguiding you. but which religion is like that, is a big question and that debate will only bring hatred among each other.
so we need to learn religious tolerance or leave the religions !

There are some people who would do evil if they were not arbitrarily stopped by their religion. People need religion to feel better about doing things they would otherwise find uncomfortable and distasteful, like charity work. Religions help keep otherwise michievous people from bothering the rest of us.
Evil is done in the NAME of religion, but doing bad things is just human nature. Most likely, these people would have done their evil without a religious motive. There would have been some other motive if not religion. That is just the excuse.

Let's see here. This actually has been tried. The communists are 100% anti-religion. Their record for the 20th century = 100 million+ killed or "purged" if you prefer. Even Islam in it's 14 centuries of existence can't claim that many killed.
Hitler was completely anti-religion too. He hated Christians (especially Catholics) and planned to do away with religion all together once his 1000 year kingdom was established.
The two "great" Humanist/anti-religious philosophies of the 20th century were far worse for us than religion.

I've thought alot about that and it seems that religion has done a good job of dividing the peoples of the world instead of uniting them. Perhaps it would be better to just be spiritual and experience universal truths through self-discovery.

Beliefs are integral to humanity. Problem is when we mix religious human structures with faith in divine... I think we need beliefs but religions can be obsolet... but i think, with or without religion, world will be the same place: a little sucursal of hell... XD

If one lives in the USA they need to go to this site and read the historical values of the Constitiution.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Constitution They would also need to read the history of the Constitiution along with Amendment one. They would all see how unconstitutional they are.

As it's a fact that the most peaceful and prosperous and egalitarian societies on Earth also tend to be the least religious, it's reasonable to assume that the answer is "Yes".
