How to update the internal virus database? Anybody done it - how is it ?

Double click on your AVG icon in the bottom right corner. It probably has black and white squares rather than the usual colored ones. When it's open, look at the bottom of the AVG screen and press update.

click Check For Updates
and download the update file

Right click on the icon on your system tray (nest to the time, on the right hand bottom corner of your screen) and click on "Check for Updates". Don't click on anything that might cancel the update.

You may not be able to update because your last update needed the computer to be restarted and you haven't yet.

get Avast instead
