my cocker spaniel didn't bark until he was some weeks older than that, my memory fails me on how many... but we got him from the breeder at 8 weeks, and he didn't even bark for a good few weeks after that. i wouldn't worry.

Oh, he can and will bark if he wants something. Its just right now, all his needs are being met, and he's way to young to have any protective instincts kick in. Play with him a bit, like a tug of war game, and see if you get him all worked up, I bet he will bark. Have you ever seen a litter of puppies play with each other, as young as 5 weeks they will bark - I assume they are telling each other off!

As others have reported, might've been terrific to examine in the previous getting a canine. Asking right here will actually get you adverse press on such concern. On precise of the certainty you get carry of a blend from an obvious BYB as a great breeder would possibly not at all enable any domestic dog circulate to somebody that knew no longer something of its care. The breeder could've given you each thing you necessary in a kit, least that's what we do. i might propose you come back reported domestic dog or do your guy or woman examine. you will choose an appointment with your vet anyhow and that they are able to respond to you the terrific. possibly you ought to circulate to a Petsmart besides & ask the staff what you will choose for reported domestic dog.

my dogs pups barked soon after birth, ( a week or two) but my lab didnt start barking till she was about 1 because she knows she barks loud and it scared my other pups.. it all depends on the dog. maybe she doesnt like to bark. it is normal for dogs to do this.
