Ok, because some people think I'm referring to my family...I have a great family, and strong morals. I just think it would be interesting to see what people think about this issue.

zeratul123...I definitely don't need your pity, please. People like me? What do you think you possibly know about me that you can make such an ignorant statement. This is a valid question, and maybe people "like you" can't quite grasp what is wrong with today. Maybe there are some of us who want to try to make a difference, and by probing the minds of others it will give somebody who actually cares some ideas.

i think that family values have declined so rapidly because people have totally lost the understanding of all of the concepts that contribute and give meaning to family values, such as LOYALTY, love, faithfulness (especially applying to marriages), togetherness, considerateness, understanding, etc. not only have they lost the understanding, they've lost the willingness to practice and execute these very same concepts, and as long as this continues, family values will decline to a point of non-existance.

The problem is your focusing on the things in life that don't really matter. When I was a kid I had hopes and dreams. We all did. But over time, the daily grind gets in the way and you miss the things that really matter, even though they are right in front of you, staring you in the face. I think the next time you should ask yourself "Am I on the right track here?". I don't mean to be rude but people like you I really pity. So maybe you could use the few brain cells you have and take advantage of the knowledge I have given you now. Good luck.

Many families have been broken... many struggle to pay the rent or the mortgage... Americans are working more hours per week, and usually it's BOTH parents working a lot. This leaves the children in front of the television in most cases... is it any wonder where they are learning there values from?

The economy forces 2 parents to work. The kids are being raised by babysitters and daycare programs.
less family dinners together more t.v. watching
worse things on t.v.
more divorce
values should be taught to the kids by their parents, instead they are learning about what is and is not exceptable in society by MTV and VH1.

There no such component as "conservative economic rules." You human beings right here in u . s . be conscious of no longer something approximately economics. There are capitalist, neo-classical rules, and Keynesian interventionist rules. Conservatism is a social difficulty, no longer an economic one. Capitalism = liberalism. Interventionist = progressive, which isn't a similar component as a liberal. whilst will you idiots end throwing around the words liberalism and conservatism for each difficulty? good god, p.c.. up a e book. the only "kinfolk values" human beings could have are taking care of their infants and being good adapters to their environment. Get Christianity, Islam, and stoning women human beings out of kinfolk values. And get fact television, cultivated via the prosperous propertied type, out of kinfolk values. the prosperous do no longer practice their infants kinfolk values, they injury them. do no longer equate "conservatism" with economics. Conservative all and sundry is people who do no longer care approximately economic subjects, yet in basic terms social subjects. those human beings comprise Rick Perry and Michelle Bachmann, and different scum of the earth human beings. a lot of human beings ought to assert that social conservatism actual does greater injury to capitalism than good, like advocating for adult adult males over women human beings, and issues like "stfu and do it your self." which isn't considered one of those capitalism, yet extremely considered one of those neo-feudalism. you ought to assert that social conservatism is doubtless considered one of the failings at fault for economic stability. The "stfu and pull your self up from the bootstraps" mentality lowers ordinary self esteem and undermines social facilitation, that's mandatory to advance economies.
