They did it simply because the last time they had a trade of prisoners they got nearly 100 to 1 in their favor. That was the way Israel negotiated back in the 80's and 90's. Now it might be a little different.

The Israeli governemnt recently signed a peace deal with the Palestinians after scores of people were killed. Overnight, the peace deal was broken and the Israeli army thought it' be best to bomb the living daylights out of Lebenon. What for? To kill innocent children and adults?
