Smoke does not give you anything rather than the relieve of the adiction. It souds stupid but every smoker remembers that the first cigaretes tasted like crap and would make ou dizzy, meaning that the smoker must force itself into the adiction, after that the smoker only smokes to relieve the adiction.
The boost that the smoker feels is nothing other than the body relieving from the nicotine withdrawal. Its like saying that wear tight shoes feels good just because you feel relieved when you take them out.
So there is absolutely NO ADVANTAGES of smoking whatsoever. I have stoped smoking for two weeks now, but i can assure you that I will never smoke a cigarete again, and i feel good.
I read Allan Carr "Easy way to stop smoking" and it gave me the mental structure to understand the adiction and the confidence to stop. I feel good, still have that ocasional craving, but it goes away in seconds and I am very very happy with myself.
The best time to stop smoking is NOW.

Well lets see. Ummm if you call looking like trash an advantage then there is that. 1) There is also poor health, 2) hurting the health of those around you, 3) Looking way older than you are and not in a good way either 4) lots of really ugly deep wrinkles all around your mouth, 5) Gross yellow teeth, 6) crappy skin, 7) you will smell bad 8) you will willingly take years off your life. I am sure I could think of more but do you really need any more reasons than that. On the upside you will get to the after life quicker and you will be free from your smoking addiction.

One lady suggested it is an addicition and although this is true there is more to it then that.
It is peer pressure and do it to be cool type of things. It is rebellion. Our moms and dads tell us not to smoke and to be our own "person" we do it anyway.
I smoked for about 16 years. From age 24 to age 40. I finally got tired of smoking and quit when I reached age 40. I am now finding out what a stupid dumb idiotic thing that was to do as I am on handfuls of pills and have to have medical procedures yearly that no person should have to have.
Kids don't look at the lasting effects of smoking. How they will be effected by it in the future. They only look at how it looks like to thier peer group. How cool they look with a cigarette in thier mouth.

I'm 37 and have been smoking on and off since I was 13. I started because my "older" friends smoked. And after awhile ya get hooked. I've "quit" smoking several times, but always go back to it. Usually because I'll end up dating someone that smokes and that starts me back.
My oldest son smokes and it straight up pisses me off. At least he's not smoking my brand, he took after his step father, so I'll blame him. JK.
You are right: No Advantages, all DISADVANTAGES. It's a nasty and expensive habit. Maybe I'll quit again this winter. Maybe I can stay quit more than 3 months this time....lol

Nicotine does settle the nerves. It's also fairly addictive, so even if you decide to quit, you're likely to have some serious problems doing so.
