A frriend of mine breeds and raises Shilohs. I think they are great dogs and I would own one, but I have small children and her pups at 4 months of age are the size of a small horse!!!. thye are big dogs, but the ones I have meet have a wounderful temperment. But wiht any dog if you dont treat it right they can turn mean. But if loved and played with and kept healthy all dogs will love back. (oh my friend is training one of her Shilohs as a search and rescue dog) good luck.

Sweet dogs, but I would be careful, the shilohs have been bred primarily for the size and have lots of hip and back problems.
If you choose to get a shiloh, make sure BOTH the dogs parents (and preferably the grandparents too) are OFA certified as having good or excellent hips.
You should look around for someone who breeds German Shepherd Dogs for showing in AKC conformation in your area.... they usually sell any long haired GSD pups (the dogs that the Shiloh was derived from) for pets at a reasonable price and any reputable show breeder will have their dogs hips OFA certified.

I have short curly hair for the first time since We was 10 years old and We really like it but I miss my long curly locks so Now i'm growing it back out!

It's all just a matter of personal preference. I have short hair and guys such as it. And i prefer a person with short hair over a man with long hair because long hair tends to make guys look too girly.
