Personally I'm very happy that he Vetoed the bill. That means that Canadian researchers will get a LOT more funding from American drug companies that desperately need this research completed.
The rest of the world advances while the USA heads backwards to the dark ages.
I certainly hope your MS patients have enough money to come to Canada for life-saving treatments...

First, no matter what President Bush does, embryonic stem cell research will continue. What he vetoed was government funding for the research.

Second, the most promising stem cell research is coming from adult stem cells. Embryonic stem cells have not been particularly successful because they grow too much, too fast.

Third, harvesting embryonic stem cells kills the "donor," who had no say in the process. Adult stem cells can be harvested with the consent of the donor without harming the donor.

So, to answer your question, no.

I will pray for him, all right, that he get what he has given to the citizens of the United States, The Shaft. Long, Wide, And deep. Hopefully his daughters will enlist, requesting immediate transfer to Iraq. May his crime be brought to light, and he have to pay for all of his crimes, as well as his other cabinet members, and anyone who helped him to hoodwink the public.

it's funny that as a christian you would allow stem cell research. i believe that he has to open his mind and allow these doctors to get to work on quelling all diseases. we have the technology but we don't have the mentality. i will join you in prayer.

God doesn't fulfill those kinds of prayers. You are talking more of putting a curse on another person, showing you are coming from a darker side.
