Pride is the satisfaction you feel about your contribution towards an accomplishment.

Humility is the recognition that an accomplishment could not have occurred without the aid of others.

Considering that none of us could accomplish much without others teaching us how to speak, how to walk, how to do the things we've learned to do, Humility should be a natural state of being for all of us.

God says this about pride...

Proverbs 11:2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.

This is what God says about humility...

Proverbs 22:4 By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life.

We are to be a humble people and not let pride get in our way of all the riches the Lord has for us in our life.

Pride and humility are opposite to each other. Humility is to accept to be humble although you might be so much filled with grace, and to love every one as they are, also if your feelings were hurt by others you would forgive and forget. Pride is exactly opposite; it shows the person boosting of himself all the time and reflects to others how great he is and how much proud of what he has, although he could have nothing.

They are as far apart as the East is from the West. God detest pride while He loves humility.

Humility is knowing what you can do well and what you can't. Giving credit for your gifts to God.

For instance when I sing at Church I pray that people will not look at me but that they will hear the Word. I was taught when I came into ministering to others that the important part is to serve the word.

So if my voice cracks or I forget my place for a minute it doesn't matter how I look. It only matters that the Word was heard.

Of course.....Pride is an over bearing opinion of one's importance...you know...stuck on yourself.....humility is just the opposite. It's being humble and having low self esteem. Humbleness in relationship to religion is most important to achieve the foundation of understanding GOD'S meaning in this
over bearing world........

Humility is "counting others as better than yourself" and also trying to see yourself as others see you and walking humbly with God.

Pride is the sin of satan. . . wanting to be up there with God in his own mind.
