Nowhere, you can do it yourself. If you go to Start - Programmes - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore you can reset your computer to a specific timed date, the System Restore will guide you through the process so I don't have to explain the rest.

Good luck :-)

The restore function is mainly to put critical system files back in place and restore a saved copy of the system registry. Anything else you deleted you will find in the Trash or Recycle bin. If you deleted these then you need software that might possibly recover them but you won't accomplish that with system restore.

To use system restore click on "Start" > "All Programs " > "Accessories" > "System Tools" > "System Restore"

When you delete "something", Check your recycle bin and see if the file is there (if you deleted something and usually, it is there unless you emptied the trash). Depending on the "something", it does not guarantee to be restored by Windows System Restore program. It depends on if that something was a system settings and performance.

For in Windows XP:
Start --> All programs --> Accessories --> System Tools --> System Restore

The System Restore are usually created by default when you install a program or normal system schedule task (system checkpoint)

Other means is to utilize your Restore CD from the Computer OEM or Win XP CD and repair your operating system. This does not guarantee to restore your desired file. Again, this is dealing with installing the default system setting files

For non- Windows setting files and plain Data File:
Check out any utility program that might be in your computer (Norton SystemWorks did have one but not guarantee). They might have a program to restore a deleted item from the recycle bin that was emptied). There are 3rd party software for it but they do cost money

Wellll... if you simply deleted it... check the "recycle Bin" on the desktop.... If you regretfully EMPTIED it already... pray that you have a version of windows that has System Restore... which will have done you no good if you have not ever created one.... which if you didn't know to right click on MY COMPUTER and click PROPERTIES and go to System Restore tab... I'm guessing you havent made a restore point

If it's a file i think it's gone. You can do a system restore by going to start - all programs - accessories - system tools - system restore.

this usually fixes bugs that occur. like i said if it's a file you deleted. I'm afraid you can't get it back.

Start - All Programs - Accesories - System Tools - System Restore.

It depends on what Operating System you have this is for Windows XP.

It might be in your recycle bin, if you haven't cleared it. Restore option only restores the system settings not your files. You may be able to download programs that may help. Try cnet.com or zdnet.com.
