Your question actually has two parts. There is the simple "forget" issue, and then the "no matter what".
No, we never forget.
However, I believe what you are really trying to ask is this: do guys lose the fondness in their heart for the first love, depending on how that first love acted toward them?
This question gets a "YES" answer. There is a line out there. Its usually pretty far, but its there. If the first love crosses it, she simply becomes a hateful b*itch, and the first love loses its sweetness, and simply becomes a source of sadness.
It sounds like you know you are near that line. Be responsible. Care about your ex's feelings, and don't do anymore damage. That damage can eventually be unrepairable and permanent.

i think it works both ways, i dont think guys or girls ever forget there 1st love. weather the relationship was amazing or abusive, you never forget your 1st love!
