It is mainly the Catholic religion that belives that God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one entity. Other faiths such as Jewish, believe he was only a prophet or others believe he was just a saint. Either way, most religions do acknowledge Jesus Christ in some way or another.
What you choose to believe is up to you.

I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses and we believe that Jesus and God are separate. Jesus is God's son, not God himself. They are two separate entities. The Bible does not say anything about a "trinity," in fact nowhere is that word even found in the Bible. The trinity claims that God, Jesus, and the holy spirit are co-equal, but a son is never equal to his father. It also claims that they have always co-existed, but the Bible in Genesis clearly says that Jesus had a beginning, but God didn't. The trinity also claims that all three know everything equally, but Jesus said in the Bible that only God, the Father, knows the day and hour when the end will come. Those things disprove the trinity.

It all depends on one's spiritual affiliation. Many people believe in God but not Jesus, Jewish people are a good example of that. They believe in the same God as Christians, but they do not believe that Jesus was the Messiah (a very few do). Christians believe that Jesus and God are one but separate. It is not an easy thing to understand, but if you look at it in a certain way it is a little bit easier to understand. God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are what people relate to. How can three beings be one and the same? It is like water, you can have three forms of water (solid = ice, liquid = liquid, gas = steam) and no matter the form, itis still water. So the Holy Trinity exists in much the same way. God is considered the Father figure who resides in Heaven, Jesus is God incarnate on Earth (often referred to as the Son) and the Holy Spirit is kind of like the mother figure in the Holy Trinity. Three different aspects, embodied all in one being, but represented as distinct figures in our culture.
Lastly, only Jews for Jesus believe that He was the Messiah and they believe int he Trinity as well. No other Jewish sects believe that Jesus was a prophet, teacher, or the Messiah.

In the Protestant movement, they believe that God is three entities in one. You may have heard someone say, "God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost; this is also known as the trinity. Think of an egg; there are three parts: the yolk, the white, and the shell. Some refer to God and Jesus as being one in the same. They refer to their belief as oneness. God and gods are not the same-the bible refers to other gods-we can make anything a god in our lives(golden calfs, cars, or even our children)
defintion of god: An image of a supernatural being; an idol.
One that is worshiped, idealized, or followed: Money was their god.
Hope this helps:)

The bible is Gods holy word and He teaches about Jesus. You cant pick and choose what you want to believe in the bible. God is our creator and He is a part of the Godhead, God the Father, God the son,Jesus, and God the Holy Spirit.

Surferchic: It is an article of faith in the Catholic Church. No one is forced to believe anything but if a person wishes to be classified as Christian, they must accept that Jesus was God in a human form. If you believe in God, that is an Almighty God, capable of doing anything, you must accept the principal that he could have come down to earth in human form. Not only that, but Christians believe in a Trinity - three in one, God the father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. They are one and indivisible. Thank you for your question, and I am sorry if I have failed to explain the Trinity in any other way. May your God bless you......................

This is sometimes hard for Christians. God is three part. He is Father, Son (Jesus) and Holy Spirit.
Jesus came to Earth as a human. The difference is that Jesus shed his blood to make atonement for our sin. We should have died and gone to Hell for our sin. But He died in our place so we can call upon His name and be saved! This is the gift of salvation. No other religion has this. He is the true God.

Christians lump Jesus and God into one being because of the belief in the Trinity. Many believe that Jesus was God incarnate, or God in human form. When Jesus ascended to heaven after the resurrection, he became God again, or so they say.

God is the Holy Trinity. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Three in one. Jesus is God made incarnate. What that means is that Jesus is God made flesh.
