i'm not entirely familiar with their religious teachings, but what is the concept behind the 144,000 chosen. essentially, at this point wouldn't the people have already been picked out? what about future generations? are they screwed because they weren't born earlier? and one more...how come a few of the 144,000 don't come to my door? i'd rather hear it from them because apparently the people who do come to my door are doing something wrong...

hmm since the majority of the 144,000 are already dead i guess that fn sucks for the rest of you lol. must be peachy that you'll be stuck on paradise on earth, but it doesn't quite compare to heaven now does it?

and no i'm not interested in learning that much more, i choose not to believe in that particular brand of nonsense as my brand of nonsense is way more fun.

The 144,000 were chosen by God to annoy everyone that they can by ringing their doorbells. I was chosen by God to slam the door in their faces.

As a matter of fact, they do believe that the 144,000 are already chosen. The rest of the JW's (according to their belief) will be on a refurbished earth for eternity. Most of the 144,000 JW's are dead at this point; that's why they don't come to your door.

Where do they get this? Revelation 7:4 speaks of 144,000, while 7:9 speaks of a 'great multitude.' However, they need to read closer; the 144,000 are on earth (7:3) and the 'great multitude' are in heaven, around the throne of God (7:9). They've got it exactly backwards!

The 144.000 is the number of Jews that are going to Heaven, because they are the chosed people of God. This is added to all the Chrsitians who accepted Jesus as their savior. The jehova wittnesses do not beleive that Jesus has come the first time yet. They are teaching false doctrine.

They say that there is only going to be 144,000 people that will be in heaven, and that is a lie. This is what God says about what the Jehova witnesses are doing and what He will do with them...

Revelation 22:18-19
19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

I'll do my best to answer your questions
1) Yes, the 144,000 have already been choosen by God. ~ 2 Thessalonians 2:13, 14: “We are obligated to thank God always for you, brothers loved by Jehovah, because God selected you from the beginning for salvation by sanctifying you with spirit and by your faith in the truth. To this very destiny he called you through the good news we declare, for the purpose of acquiring the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

2&3) We believe that God's original pupose for the earth has not changed. Genesis 1:27, 28: “God proceeded to create the man in his image, in God’s image he created him; male and female he created them. Further, God blessed them and God said to them: ‘Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth and subdue it, and have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and every living creature that is moving upon the earth.’” (Thus God indicated his purpose to have the earth filled with the offspring of Adam and Eve as caretakers of a global paradise. After God had magnificently designed this earth for human habitation, making it unique among all the planets that man has examined with his telescopes and spaceships, did the Creator simply abandon his purpose, leaving it forever unfulfilled because of Adam’s sin?)

Isaiah 45:18: “This is what Jehovah has said, the Creator of the heavens, He the true God, the Former of the earth and the Maker of it, He the One who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who formed it even to be inhabited: ‘I am Jehovah, and there is no one else.’”
After God has removed the wicked from the earth (Proverbs 21:21,22 " For the upright are the ones that will reside in the earth, and the blameless are the ones that will be left over in it. As regards the wicked, they will be cut off from the very earth; and as for the treacherous, they will be torn away from it.), those remaining will have a share in making the earth into a park-like paradise just as God had purposed from the begining. These ones will also have the oppertunity to live forever under peaceful conditions as promised at Revelation 21:3-5 "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also, he says: “Write, because these words are faithful and true.”

4) Most of the 144,000 have already died and inheirted their reward of heavenly life, there are only a few thousand worldwide remaining on earth, which it is why it is unlikely that one may come to your door. I think my answer for your questions 2&3 may clear up your understanding that those who are not chosen to go to heaven are doing something wrong, rather they are given a differant reward for their faithfulness.

Or you can ask them yourself the next time they come to your door. I hope this answered your question, I know it's lengthy but I wanted to make sure that my answers included their scriptual basis.

Jehovah's witnesses believe only 144,000 will make it to heaven. Rev 14 says these are eunuchs and Rev 7 says they are Israelites. They argue that the "Israelis" referred to in scripture represent a spiritual Israel rather than the Jewish Israel.

They agree that the church will go to heaven. Since they limit the church to the 144,000, they call there meeting places kingdom halls and they think every Scripture referring to the church refers to these

The 144 thousand is a little group of people going to Heaven also known as the "Little FLock". The "Big Flock" will be the millions (billions possibly, well a lot of people) will be the ones staying hre on Earth after this system of wicked things.

They are believed to be the ones - who have come out of the great tribulation;
(Saved during the tribulation period,) they weren't saved prior to Jesus's reappearing to take the saved out of the world before tribulation comes.... so they endured the hardship and were sustained by their faith.

Here's all you need to know about them:
They do not honor the American flag
they don't say the pledge
they don't vote or recognize the government as governing body
they honor nothing about America.
they don't accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savoir
they don't honor the word of God as written in the Holy Bible.
