My friend is trying to find a puppy poodle, and it has to be from Scotland. Does anyone here know of anywhere/anyone she could buy one from (in Scotland)?

Why do you think it has to be from Scotland? Am I really going to travel all the way to France and back to get a poodle? No. Even if I would, that is NOT what I asked for. And to the others that have answered so far, you do not know the answer, so why bother? And do you really think a Scottish person is going to be amused at a joke laughing at Scotland? I think not.

And to yorkiemom - I'm afraid you're incorrect, my friend really does want a poodle (not a status symbol).

Contact the Kennel Club, they should be able to provide you with a list of breeders.
Poodles aren't from France, they're probably from Germany.

Try searching the internet with something like "poodle breeders + scotland" and see what comes up; also never, ever buy a pup from someone that will deliver. Thats one way to end up with a pup from a puppy farm (along with the old chestnut of "the mother died and we hand reared them").
The Kennel Club should be able to help you find what you're looking for.

good grief!! you don't half get some pathetic, idiotic answers in the name of so called comedy !! anyway i'll at least Try to help!! the scottish kennel club could help and there should be scottish poodle clubs on the internet . my sister wanted a rough collie and found the official websites on the net. we found out when the next rough collie dog show was on and went along to see it. It certainly was the best thing to do ,we got to know the people there and we ended up with a lovely dog. i would recommend you try finding your poodle that way. good luck bye...............

your friend should check out the 'ad trader' paper, it's a paper full of classified ads, there's a whole of scotland one, or a regional one. they have quite a large pet section there. I got my puppy from one of these papers, she's perfect, and i found the various people i contacted helpful and willing to bend over backwards to help me find my ideal puppy. i live in edinburgh, and had people willing to drive up from england to deliver a puppy to me. (i know you specifically said scotland, but it seems some english breeders advertise in the papers.) The daily record also have a small pets section. also, check out your yellow pages for rescue centre's and breeders and places like the 'edinburgh cat and dog home.' good luck.

Check the Shelters, sounds like your friend wants a status symbol or pedigree to brag about not a new best friend!
